Community Services Centre (Waikerie)
- The Waikerie Community Centre provides a ‘one stop shop’ for people living in the area to agencies providing human services
Emergency relief
- Assistance for people in financial crisis.
Family Relationship Service program
- The purpose of the program is to improve the wellbeing of families and children by supporting positive family relationships through prevention and early intervention services.
Family Reunification
- Intensive parenting, practical and family support to assist in the safe return of a child from alternative care to their own family.
Family Support
- In-home support for families needing assistance with relationships, parenting, budgeting, home management, and linking with other community resources.
Foster and Respite care
- Safe alternative care and accommodation for children who are unable to live with their own families.
Flying Start
- A free, in-home early intervention parenting program to help families give their child (from 0 – 2 years) the best possible start in life.
Low Income Support program
- Education projects aimed at raising community awareness of the issues related to poverty and its causes and ways of addressing poverty.
No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS©)
- Assists eligible people to purchase essential goods, furniture, medical equipment, whitegoods etc.
Opening Doors - Riverland Aboriginal support program
- A Supported Accommodation program for Aboriginal young people and young adults.
Supported Accommodation
- Accommodation for families and single over 16 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, with support to help establish and reach specific goals.
Supported Tenancies
- Counselling, practical support, advocacy and skill building for public and Aboriginal housing tenants at risk of eviction or homelessness.
Youth Development program
- Riverland Aboriginal Youth Group (RAY)
- Provides Indigenous young people in the Berri, Barmera and Gerard areas with social, recreational and educational acitivites.
