How your donations make a differencedonions helpport ac.care Appeal
Aboriginal Children's Crèches
Gerard and Minya Porlar crèches care for children in a culturally appropriate space in a manner that respects their culture and helps children with school readiness. Your donations provide indoor and outdoor play equipment, books and art supplies to develop children's physical, social, listening and creative skills.
Financial Counselling
ac.care has been able to provide financial counsellingn services in regional South Australia from donated funds. We have noticed more need for financial counselling in remoter areas and need funds to be able to deliver this service.
Homeless Youth Resilience Scholarship

Support for young people ages 12 to 25 to continue or re-engage with education and move onto work, a trade or tertiary education, helping to break the cycle of disadvantage.
Youth Resilience Scholarships rely solely on donated funds. The increased donations to the Homeless Youth Resilience
Scholarship enabled us to double the number of young people who received the scholarship. Thank you!
Scholarship Recipients Speak
The recipients (names changed to protect client privacy)
Debbi - aged 13 - “I want to complete high school and to go to uni to study to become a lawyer. I want to be a lawyer so that people who do wrong things will be brought to justice. I love singing and dancing and really want to continue these after school, also my sport. At present I am writing a book and would like to complete this and continue to write. If I can earn enough money I would buy my mum a house and make sure my brother has what he needs.” (written by school counselor in discussion with Debbie)
Kylie - aged 16 - “I want to finish my education and then build my way up to youth work and help kids in my position.”
Tara - aged 16 - “My hope is to complete year 12 and be accepted into tertiary studies to provide myself with greater opportunities in life.”
Sharon - aged 16 - “I wish to complete school, get a positive career that would help me to be successful. I would like to complete school so I have a future.”
Cathy - aged 18 - “In my future I’m hoping to become a qualified childcare worker. I want to get a good job and buy my own house. I want a different life to my mum, a better life than I had growing up, having a good education behind me will help that a lot.”
Julia - aged 22 - “In the future I see myself as a nail technician and later on to do my hair course and gaining an apprenticeship so in the future my daughter and I can have a better life. This is a stepping stone for my daughter and me for a better life and future and I want to seize this opportunity.”
