About the role
ac.care is seeking Early Childhood Educators to work collaboratively as a team member within the organisation to provide secure, safe and stimulating care to children at Minya Porlar Creche. The role will support children and their families providing a range of education and care in a timely and professional manner. As part of this you will:
- Participate in the review, development and implementation of frameworks, policies, guidelines and other resources that deliver business outcomes for ac.care.
- Assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups.
- Develop awareness of and assist in the provision and maintenance of optimum health and safety conditions of the children in care by maintaining a safe and hygienic indoor and outdoor environment.
- Contribute to regular documentation of children’s emerging skills and interests.
- Develop relationships with other staff and families and engage in professional communication with families and caregivers.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal and ethical obligations and participate in compliance and quality assurance audits.
Your Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Experience working with and being sensitive to the needs of children, parents or guardians/caregivers in a welcoming and non-judgmental environment, acting with diplomacy, tact, empathy, privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to interact with children in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner.
- Great oral and written communication skills building rapport and maintaining a positive relationship promoting cultural diversity.
- Knowledge skills and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Ability to use a range of software and data management systems, including MS Office suite.
Benefits:
- $25-30 per hour
- 10% employer contribution to superannuation.
