Congratulations to our Homelessness Service team on winning the 2017 Australasian Housing Institute – Leading Community Engagement Practice Award for the Tenancy Education Program. The Tenancy Education Program is a homelessness prevention strategy. In 2016 there were 130 participants from our three regions – Limestone Coast, Murray Mallee, Riverland. Of these participants 80% were successful in sourcing and/or maintaining a sustainable tenancy. Topics included in the program are; maintaining wellness, presentation skills, tips about energy consumption, budgeting goal setting, employers expectations, maintaining a sustainable tenancy and local support networks available. Congratulations to our Homelessness Team on this award!
