Berri:  Client Support Worker  |   Homelessness

$68,000 - 73,000 (Full Time)

WOULD you like to be part of a dynamic regional SA team?

ac.care is seeking two (2) experienced Client Support Workers to work collaboratively as a team member to deliver services to people who are experiencing housing difficulties. The role will support clients transitioning from homelessness to long term accommodation, placement into supported accommodation and/or assisting clients to retain their tenancy. As part of this you will:

  • Work collaboratively, developing respectful and compassionate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Support clients through the provision of outreach appointments, referrals, advocacy, and information sharing with key service providers within the local community.
  • Apply a case work service which is client centred, respectful, tailored and appropriate to the individual’s circumstances and needs e.g. develop and implement viable action plans and strategies to address housing issues for immediate and longer term action.
  • Provide support and assistance to community based initiatives and programs that enhance clients’ practical living and conflict resolution skills.
  • Deliver the Tenancy Education Program to clients.
  • Participate in the evaluation, monitoring and reporting of program activities to determine their effectiveness and contribute to identifying strategies to address any deficits.
  • Prepare communications and reports for line management as required and keep accurate and appropriate documentation (case notes) and statistical data in accordance with program and funding body requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, procedures and other resources to deliver quality financial counselling programs.

Your Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:

  • Minimum Certificate IV or higher in Community Services or Human Services.
  • Relevant experience working in a client support or similar role.
  • Project/Case management success including evaluation, and continuous improvement with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of the issues associated with homelessness, the influences and effects of the social environment and advocating with and on behalf of those who are disadvantaged.
  • Great oral and written communication skills and excellent facilitation skills applying confidentiality, professionalism and discretion
  • Solution-focused, resilient, with strong time management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail, good research, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to use a range of software data management systems, including MS Office suite.

Your benefits:

Murraylands:  L4 Early Childhood Educator  |   Community Services

$24-27 per hr (Casual)

WOULD you like to be part of a dynamic regional SA team?

ac.care is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to work collaboratively as a team member within the organisation to provide secure, safe and stimulating care to children at Minya Porlar Creche. This role will promote a warm and inclusive environment for children, and provide quality education and care services for children and families, as well as lead and support fellow educators in a timely and professional manner.

As part of this you will:

  • Coordinate and participate in the review, development and implementation of frameworks, policies, guidelines.
  • Design and deliver programs that provide a diverse and interesting range of experiences and routines appropriate and responsive to the needs of each child in care.
  • Coordinate, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups.
  • Actively support co-workers in the provision of quality child care that meets the needs of children and supports their learning in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Plan and facilitate the inclusion of children with additional needs.
  • Coordinate feedback, complaints and contributions from children and families to drive the continual improvement of centre services.
  • Develop relationships with other staff and families and engage in professional communication with families and guardians.
  • Ensure the quality of service through active participation in supervision and training, to ensure services provided are ethical, of a high standard and fulfil the requirements of the funding body.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate documentation and statistical data in accordance with program and funding body requirements e.g. rosters, timesheets, employee, client and financial records, workplace compliance, training and development etc.
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained for both staff and children in the provision and maintenance of optimum health and safety conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal and ethical obligations and participate in compliance and quality assurance audits.

WOULD you like to be part of a dynamic regional SA team focused on providing quality services for country people?

ac.care is seeking two (2) experienced Financial Counsellors to work collaboratively as a team member in Murray Bridge and Berri to deliver services to people who are experiencing financial difficulties. The role will support clients to (re)gain control of their finances and provide access to specialised services to deal with problems arising from debt in a timely and professional manner.

As part of this you will:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, procedures and other resources to deliver quality financial counselling programs.
  • Work collaboratively, developing respectful and compassionate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Support clients through the provision of information, resources and referrals based on their financial situation.
  • Apply a case work service which is client centred, respectful, tailored and appropriate to the individual’s circumstances and needs e.g. develop and implement viable action plans and strategies to address consumer debt issues for immediate and longer term action.
  • Prepare communications and reports for line management as required and keep accurate and appropriate documentation (case notes) and statistical data in accordance with program and funding body requirements.
  • Participate in the evaluation, monitoring and reporting of program activities to determine their effectiveness and contribute to identifying strategies to address any deficits.
  • Provide support and assistance to community based initiatives in consumer debt advocacy.
