Our inspiring foster carers open their hearts and homes to hundreds of young people in need across eastern regional South Australia, transforming the lives of vulnerable children and youths.
But we need more people to join our network of carers - to provide long-term, short-term, occasional or respite care - for the growing number of young people in care with nowhere to call home.

Our webinar-style online events will feature ac.care staff members, along with foster carers sharing their personal stories and answering your questions.
The online information sessions will run for 45-60 minutes and also cover general information about the role of foster carers, types of care, support available and the approval process to become a carer.
While we also provide information with stalls at public events and host sessions at public venues, such as libraries and community centres, we designed an engaging online alternative while COVID-19 restrictions were in place, which continues to prove effective and convenient for people wanting to know more about foster care.
Our chosen online platform for our information sessions is Microsoft Teams. You can register for a session by completing the form below and will receive an email to confirm your registration. Further resources and helpful information will be emailed to you prior to the sessions and we are also happy to talk to you via phone to answer any questions in the lead-up to the information sessions.
There is no 'hard sell' in the online or in-person sessions - it's an opportunity to learn more and meet the ac.care staff who will help by answering questions and assisting with the assessment procedure if you choose to become a foster carer.
